Abstract (EN)
For centuries, religions, from primitive societies to modern human, have been a light on the way to understanding the cause of existence. In addition to their promises concerning after life, religions also have an important role in establishing a legal and social order in the world with the divine messages they give. The rulers knew these qualities of religions and in some periods they used them as a means of administration and oppression on human beings. Church domination in medieval Europe is the most concrete example of this. The age of enlightenment, which is the result of prosperity after geographical explorations, has opposed this order and modernization idea took the place of the scholastic thoughts. Thus the new world order is desired to be raised on the destruction of the tradition. This rationalist tendency, that is applied by different disciplines, such as architecture, sociology, technology and literature, liberated the material existence of mankind, but is inadequate to fill the spiritual void within them. In this period, the tendency of postmodernism emerged as a response to modernism. Against the singularity and rigid determinism, postmodernism has emerged with the promise of looking at the world from a pluralistic window. The movement that carries its thoughts to literature continues to create original literary products using various techniques. We examined the approach of religions of postmodern discourse, which combines tradition and modernity in the same pot with unprincipled attitude, through the examples given in Turkish literature.
