Özet (EN)

Based on the endless possibilities of + and -, 0 and 1, weaving, that is, fabric, is a vital material that we are in constant contact with and takes place in all areas of life. The fabric, which has been processed into the cultural and industrial history of almost every geography in the world, has become a material that highlights both its transcultural dimensions and its intertwinedness with current issues, originating from its origin, meaning, material and spiritual aspects. Due to these features, works of art, in which fabric and therefore yarn are used as a preferred material by many artists throughout the history of art, have been realized in a wide range from tapestries to installations. Although the artists who use textile materials in many different disciplines such as painting, installation, photography and video create works based on their personal stories, they have also found a response in social structures in different geographies of the global world. As a material that can be easily associated with subjects such as nature, memory, culture and belonging, fabric is also the main material of the canvas as a tool. The fabric, which starts with the space trials created on the canvas surface in the application works and is associated with the personality and identity of the postmodern human due to the meanings of the material, is the persona of the individual, which consists of a patchwork bundle that is ripped off.
