The representation of body in postmodern art in the context of feminism

Postmodern art has provided a platform for feminist artists to challenge traditional depictions of the body, subvert gender stereotypes and promote body positivity and inclusivity. Using a variety of media to critique societal expectations and expose the performative nature of gender roles, feminist artists working with power, agency and sexuality have sought to subvert fixed, essentialist gender identities and emphasize the social and cultural construction of gender. The relationship between contemporary artistic production techniques, technology, feminism and the body is constantly evolving. Artists have utilized technology to challenge norms, subvert patriarchal structures and reclaim autonomy over their bodies. The emergence of artificial intelligence technologies offers new possibilities for digital feminism and postmodern art. AI artistic production using algorithms and machine learning allows artists to explore and reimagine representations of the body, gender dynamics and social structures. Using document and artifact analysis as a research method, the mutually influential and transformative potential of the relationship between digifeminism, postmodern art and AI artistic production was observed. While postmodern art encourages the questioning of dominant narratives, AI artistic production offers innovative tools to push the boundaries of creativity and challenge normative representations. The study concludes that together these fields can be used to dismantle oppressive structures, embrace diversity, fluidity and empower marginalized voices. The symbiotic relationship between them will contribute to a deeper understanding of gender, identity and power dynamics through works produced in the context of technological developments.
