A field investigation to understand the effect of presenteeismin burnout levels

Presenteeism, which is called being in workplace, may affect the general health conditions of workers and may place the associations with significant cost items creating some problems in terms of health and productivity. Presenteeism, becoming a part of daily and occupational lives of individuals and affected by a lot of factors and burnout, that it has brought back affact the individuals personal, social and organizational lives negatively. This research was done to explicate the influences of burnout levels of presenteeism fact on teachers working at state high schools. It consists the teachers working at state Anatolian High Schools, vocational and Anatolian High School and different education associations taking place in a few locations in central districts of Antalya. Questionnaires were used as vehicle of collecting data in this research. In the content of the research, 700 questionnaire data was added to analysis, female teachers compose 53.9 % and male teachers 46.1 % of the participants. With a view ascertain the effect of presenteeism on the burnout level of the Teachers, multivariate and simple linear regression analysis were used. According to research findings, it was concluded that presenteeism was effective on burnout.
