Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the learning environment based on problem-building activities according to the problem solving and problem-building success of the students. As a method in the study; Action research method and single group quasi-experimental design were used to determine the students' problem solving and problem-building success of the problem-building activities. The study was conducted with the participation of 20 fifth grade students in a secondary school in the town of Şarkikaraağaç in Isparta province. In this study, structured and semi-structured problem-building activities prepared for the outcome learning 'solving and establishing problems requiring processing with natural numbers' were applied to students for 5 weeks. Students were observed in the practice of the activities and observation was taken notes. Prepared problem solving achievement test (PCT) and problem-building achievement test (PCT) were applied to pre-test and post-test students. At the end of all the activities, interviews were made with the students. As a result of the research, it was determined that problem-building activities increased the students' problem-building success and problem-solving success.
