An investigation into the life and works of Prof. Dr. Salim Koca

In this study, Seljuk historian Prof. Dr. Koca's life and works are discussed. The discussed works were analyzed in detail in 2 sections as books and articles, and the information was synthesized and transferred. Prof. Dr. Koca makes many studies in the field of Turkish history, Seljuk history, and the history of Turkish culture and civilization, and reveals his difference by making use of auxiliary sciences and presenting them in a visible way in his works. Prof. Dr. Koca was able to reflect in his works that historical events can be viewed and interpreted from different perspectives, that he wrote his works from a broad perspective, that he made a different type analysis in the Turkish Seljuk historical work, and that he dominated every period of Turkish history. He stated that it is a social responsibility of every historian to convey the history of the nation to which he belongs and who is loyal to his national values, and always aimed to convey his knowledge both verbally and in writing. We have completed our study, aiming to enrich the field by contributing to the study of works by examining the studies that have a very important place in the field of General Turkish History.
