Özet (EN)

Recently, the importance given on the improvements of performances of power electronic systems and power electronic components are fairly increased. As a result, research activities on the circuit configurations namely inverters have shown an increase. In recent years, the Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation(SVPWM) technique has become one of the most popular PWM techniques. The reason for his is that it is possible to get full control both on the output frequency and voltage. SPWM technique can easily implemented digitally and provides possible highest voltage gain. Altough, application of SVPWM technique is easy , the matematical calculation of pulse width durations for generating PWM signals requires some complex processes. Nowadays, this complex process can be performed easily thanks to the recent improvements in both power electronics and microprocessor technologies. In this thesis, modeling and simulation of two level SPWM inverters have been realized. With sinusoidal PWM it is not possible to get a voltage level at the output more than DC link voltage in linear region operation. Therefore, in this work SVPWM technique which is alternative to sinusoidal PWM has been prefered.First, a general information on the single phase and three phases inverters has been given in addition to PWM techniques. Here, SVPWM technique has been explained in detail. Then, modelling of the two level SVPWM inverters in MATLAB/Simulink has been realized. An R-L and induction motor have been used as load at the output of model. Finally, some simulation results at various operating conditions have been presented for both types of the load. Then TMS320C200 used on the developed platform and sturcture of desingned circuit has been explanied in detail. A general information on IPM and some electronic components used have been given. Some experiment results at various operating conditions have been presented and have been compared with corresponding results. Keywords: Space Vector PWM, Scalar Control, Three Phase Inverters.
