Özet (EN)

Aim : The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of leptin in the proliferatif and secretory endometrium and in addition to reveal if there is a significant difference between hyperplastic endometrial tissue and normal endometrium tissue from the point of view of leptin expression.Materials and Methods: In our clinic, 17 diagnosed proliferation phase endometriums, 23 secretory phase endometriums and 18 endometrial hyperplastic endometrium tissues were taken up. These specimens were evaluated from the point of leptin expression by immunohystochemical painting methods. A classification is used considering the density and distribution of the paint as;For endometrial glands and surface epitelium 0:negative, 1:minimal painted, 2:lightly painted, 3: dense paintedFor stroma: 0:negative, 1:lightly painted, 2:dense paintedResults : The lowest painting from the point of view of leptin expression was seen on early proliferative phase endometrium(PPE). Middle PPE samples were painted slightly more dense and late PPE samples were painted in highest density. Painting was evidently low in early secretory phase endometrium (SPE). The highest painting rates were observed on late SPE diagnosed samples. During menstrual cyclus; endometrial leptin expression was increased from beginning early PPE, was highest in late PPE and clearly decreased with ovulation. No statistically significant difference was determined between PPE, SPE and Hyperplastic Endometrium. (P<0.05).Conclusion : In spite of leptin expression was observed during whole menstrual cyclus (highest in late proliferation phase) in the all endometrial tissues; there was no significant increase in hyperplastic endometrium cases. Therefore, we think that, leptin doesn?t have addition in hyperplastic progression.Key words : Leptin, Endometrial Hyperplasia, menstrual cyclus
