İkinci yeni poetry in terms of psychoanalytic viewpoint

İkinci Yeni that is an important breaking point within the period of Turkish poetry's change is a movement growing during the 1950's. This formation that has given a new poetic way to poetry within the modernist platform has created a radical change projecting an intense perspective for the individual with the new aesthetic facilities that it expresses. The psychoanalytic viewpoint, which centers the unconscious processes running throughout the text, will bring a different and prosperous reading that bases psychologic dynamics on İkinci Yeni's semantic universe that is based on imagery and has an extensive association. This study, in which İkinci Yeni Poetry has been researched in line with the pschoanalysis and psychoanalytic literary theory, is composed of three parts. In the first part in which the theoratical basis of the thesis is formed, there is information within the study's scope about pschoanalysis' emerging, key concepts and development together with the viewpoints asserted by different psychoanalysists and hypotheses. In this part, the psychoanalytic literary theory that has been developed in line with the psychoanalytic theory is dwelt on. In the second part of the thesis, the facilities of a psychoanalytic reading upon İkinci Yeni Poem is conceived by giving information about İkinci Yeni Movement's emerging conditions and poetics. In the third part that is the main part of the thesis, the poems of Cemal Süreya, Turgut Uyar, Edip Cansever, İlhan Berk, Sezai Karakoç and Ece Ayhan all of whom are İkinci Yeni's leading representatives have been researched.
