Ecological housing design suitable for psychosocial life: The case of Si̇i̇rt kurtalan

The creation of housing and the process of housing use are seen as a great responsibility due to the environmental impacts it creates today. In today's housing construction, ignoring this responsibility, the creation and use of housing only for housing purposes creates a number of problems. The waste of energy, resources and materials spent during and before the construction of housing and in the use of housing, the amount of waste generated are the main problems that require to be considered in detail. In the study, it is aimed to find solutions to these problems and to meet the increasing need for housing without harming nature. To provide design solutions to environmental problems, suitable for the relationship between the housing and the user; it is aimed to evaluate housing design as a solution to environmental problems. Considering the increasing number of houses in parallel with the population, the design model to be made should be environmentally friendly and should be created in line with ecological principles for the continuity of future generations. In the study, it is aimed to expand the housing, which can play an active role in the solution of environmental problems, in a way that all segments of the society can acquire by supporting today's modern living conditions. With ecological and permaculture housing design, using energy effectively, ensuring water conservation, recycling waste materials and integrating them into the structure in the design process are the main subjects of the study. The aim of the study created in this context is to design spaces that are compatible with people's social lives by creating ecological housing that is compatible with the environment at the same time that they can live comfortably. In this context, a social, psychological, economic, ecological and nature-friendly design has been developed. While solving the housing problem needed every semester in the study; A function that does not harm human health and supports people's psychological and social lives has been established and the suggestion housing model has been designed in line with this principle. The proposal is in the design of housing; It is aimed to prevent the structures designed by using non-recyclable, harmful materials to human health in the housing sector and to appeal to the world in the designed housing.
