Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is investigated how the flowrate, torque, pressure and efficiency relationship changes by converting a backward propeller structure to a mixed blade structure. In addition, in this study, some dimensions of the propeller geometry were fixed and a parametric study was carried out on the remaining critical dimensions. For this purpose, the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis methodology, which is similar to the literature studies, was used, in which similar results were obtained with the experimental data. CFD analyses, properties such as mesh structure and air inlet and outlet volumes were kept constant, so that the main factor affecting the analysis results was blade geometry. In CFD analyses, first of all, the analysis results in different mesh structures were compared to ensure that the analysis results were independent from the digital network structure, then the analysis results were verified by comparing the analysis results with the test results. In the study, the flow rate, pressure, torque, efficiency values of the backward blade structure and the mixed blade structure were compared, and then the specific effects of the two critical dimensions that distinguish the mixed blade geometry from the first geometry on flow, pressure, torque and efficiency were investigated and shared in this study. The findings obtained in this study show that; Thanks to the mixed blade type, it is possible to obtain a higher flow rate, without changing the rotation speed. Thus, an alternative way has been developed to increase the flow rate at the desired level with the minimum change to be made on a backward blade geometry.
