Abstract (EN)

As in other centuries, Classical Turkish poets in the nineteenth century also adopted religious and Sufi sources as their guide. Râgıp Paşa-Zâde Lutfî, one of the poets of the nineteenth century, is one of the important names who wrote poems in line with religious and mystical influences. Râgıp Paşa-Zâde Lutfî Dîvân is a very rich work in terms of religious and mystical elements. This dîvân is also noteworthy in that it bears traces of the Naqshbandi order, which continues to exist today. Hejaz, Egypt, Yemen and Medina, which are among the places where Râgıp Paşa-zâde Lutfî lived his life, are also important centers where Naqshbandî-Khalidism gained widespread popularity. The analysis of the work is important in terms of revealing the position of the Naqshbandī-Khalidī order in the historical process in the nineteenth century and providing the opportunity to evaluate the effects of Sufism on the social structure. This study aims to analyze Râgıp Paşa-Zâde Lutfî's Dîvân in line with the understanding of Sufism put forward by the Naqshî-Hâlidî order and the contributions of Mawlânâ Hâlid-i Baghdâdî's thought structure to Sufism. The thesis consists of two chapters apart from the Introduction and Conclusion: In the first part, the religious elements will be analyzed and in the second part, the Sufi elements will be analyzed.
