Râmehürmüzî: His life and the role in history of hadith

In this work called " The life and Hadith Works of Râmehurmuzi " Ramehurmuzi‟s (d. 360/971) works on hadiths are examined in the context of his copyrighted works named al Muhaddisu‟l-fâsil beyne‟r-râvî ve‟l-vâ‟î and Kitâbü Emsâli‟l-hadith. Al Muhaddisu‟l-fâsil is the first independent Hadith-style work to reach our day. Because the writer, in this work, collected the rules of the Hadith procedure which were scattered in the works before him. However, the work does not include all the issues of the Hadith procedure. It is understood that one of the purposes of copyright in Ramehurmuzi's work is to respond to criticism directed at ahl al-hadith. The author prepared his work based on verses, Hadith, Sahaba sayings, the words and poems of the scholars of the period in which he lived. The author recorded all the information as attributed as Hadith narrations, as seen in the Hadith style works of the mütekaddimûn ( people who came before) period. The author's other work, Kitâbü Emsâli‟l-hadith is a work that is copyrighted in the "emsâlü‟l hadiths" area and has an important place among the like because it contains only hadiths.
