Abstract (EN)

Postoperative adhesions are still unsolved important problems. Although there are some studies and advancements in this issue, the incidence of adhesion formation has been decreased but not totally solved. Some studies have been showed that Lisinopril may decrease adhesion formation and sildenafil citrate increase blood flow in the mesenteric area . For this reason we think that sildenafil citrate decrease ischaemia and adhesion formation. This study; was planned to aim to compare the adhesion formation effects of sildenafil citrate, lisinopril and sildenafil citrate with lisinopril combinations in the laparotomized rats .Wistar-Albino 40 male rats, weight range between 180-220 gr, divided into 4 groups. After abrasion formation in the rat?s caecum wall and in the peritoneal surface at the localization of right lower quadrant of anterior abdominal wall; in Group1 0.9% NaCl, in Group 2 Lisinopril, in Group 3 Sildenafil citrate with Lisinopril, in Group 4 sildenafil citrate, were given by orally. There were statistically significant differences between control group and the study groups according to adhesion formation scala (p ? 0.001). In all groups that agents were used adhesion formation was decreased, but when the groups comparing the agents used, there was no statistically significant difference.Sildenafil citrate and Lisinopril usage in the laparotomized rats decrease adhesion formation. But the combinations of these agents do not show any additional effect to decrease adhesion formation .Key words: Adhesion, Sildenafil citrate, Lisinopril
