Abstract (EN)

Paracetamol is one of the most commonly used painkillers and analgesics due to its safety, efficacy and low cost and is safe at therapeutic doses. Paracetamol (acetominophen) poisoning is one of the most frequently reported and studied intoxications due to its widespread use and easy access. Cannabis has started to be a plant that can be used in treatment in the light of recent research and developments. In this study, 4 groups of six rats each were studied for 7 days. Groups; Control (K), Paracetamol (P), Hemp seed oil (KTY) and Paracetamol + Hemp seed oil (P + KTY) were studied. After the study, blood was collected in tubes under rompun+ketalar anesthesia. Blood collected in 0.2 ml EDTA tubes to be used within 36 hours for Comet analysis was stored at +4oC. Blood taken into biochemistry tubes for ALP, AST, ALT measurement was centrifuged at 4000 rpm for 10 minutes at +4oC. ALP, ALT, AST values and Comet DNA damage test were performed in whole blood. It was observed that there was a statistical difference in all values with paracetamol administration compared to the control group. As a result, it was determined that the toxicity caused by paracetamol was reduced by hemp seed oil, but it could not provide values close to the control group. It was determined that hemp seed oil reduced the effect of paracetamol poisoning but did not provide a complete treatment.
