The opinions of school pirincipal on inclusive education for unaccompanied asylum seekers children

This research aims to reach the views of school administrators on inclusive education implemented for unaccompanied asylum seekers children. Qualitative research method and case study design are used in the research. The sample of the research consists of 13 school administrators with unaccompanied refugee children in Yozgat city center. The semi- structured interview form named developed by the researcher was used as the data collection tool in the research process. Inductive content analysis was used in the analysis process of the obtained findings. When the research findings are examined, school administrators stated that inclusive education facilitates the inclusion of students in educational environments and the determination of individual differences, therefore it is a useful process that provides equal opportunities. However, it is seen that inclusive education studies implemented for disadvantaged groups in schools are not sufficient. School administrators stated that the main factor that prevents inclusive education is the negative attitudes of parents. School administrators state that although they accept unaccompanied refugee children studying in their schools, the parents of other children have negative attitudes towards these children.
