Nude in daily life scene in modernizm to present at painting

Nude bodies have been one of the most important images that are inherited by contemporary artists as a part of nature from Renaissance to today. "The body", which was created as a result of the idea of mind and its analysis presented in 5th century BC, has taken its part with its different features in all branches of art. This situation has had a place especially in Western art and has reached significance since the late 18th century. "Nude body" which has always been enticing for the viewer in every period of history of art, was rediscovered in Renaissance. In nudity of Venetian artists from Giorgiona to Tinteretto "being threatening" was presented to the viewer, "the body" was the object of the anatomic researches on Leonardo's drawings, and it was an indicator of Michaelangelo's humanist ideas. Again at the same period, "the body" transformed from the discovered body to learned body. In this context, "nude body" which was patterned on specific rules, rarely had lyricism as a value as in the works of Velazquez and Rubens. It is obvious for contemporary artist that she/he takes the responsibility of a tradition along with the inherited body. Since the body is made in the image of God in Greek understanding, it has been considered that it has the shape of a Divine image. Although the body which is considered as the indicator of the human beings' temporality, weakness, momentariness and sinfulness, it has been leading the artists to the idea of revival dogma as a genre that has contributed to the occurrence of nudity since Renaissance. The originality created by the 19th century artists about the body in terms of the dialogue between the work of art and the viewer, forced artists to question the traditional perception of the body because of the burden of the tradition. Ẻdouard Manet who got angry with the working conditions at the Couture studio of Paul Gauguin in the late 19th century and he said shoutedly "Nude paitings can be done in the country in summer, because appearently, nudity is the first and the last word of the art" (Corbin et al., 2011:69). This reproach clearly shows the idea about the perception of the body in the art should be independent from all kinds of dogma and this is the place of the body in the artist's mind. In order to understand this situation, the outlook on nudity in painting, the changing, transforming and liberatory features of the body from late 19th century to today need to be analyzed. Therefore, to research the way of perception of nudity in painting and its existence in daily life during its transformation process from late 19th century to today is necessary as a part of Painting History. The first step to follow in this study is to analyze the existence of nudity in painting up to 19th century, the conditions affecting this and its transformation in historical process. Later, an introduction to modernism is going to be explained by analyzing Manet and his work called Luncheon on the grass analytically. After that, other principal works with in the scope of the subjects in modernism are going to be analyzed. This period is going to be deeply analyzed by creating subtitles through the obtained information. Afterwards, the status of the body in Contemporary Painting and role are going to be analyzed within the scope of the subject via recent works and the study is going to be concluded findings and new readings to raise awareness. This project which is the subject of the study is considered to be completed in 24 months. The method of literature review is going to be used primarily, as a result of obtained information, examinations are going to be done by visiting the museums where the original works of art are and creator of the collection, where related works of art are, is going to be interviewed. Contemporary artists who are considered to have contributions to the study are going to be interviewed about the subject and documentation is going to be created. During and after this study, scientific publications are going to be published and also in a related symposium, the researcher is going to present a notice which includes the meaning and the importance of the image of body created in his own original works. In another important part of the project, the artist's works created during the project are going to be presented to sphere of Turkish Contemporary Art through a solo exhibition held in a gallery. In this way it is aimed that the artist would take a place as a contemporary producing artist about the related subject in the sphere of the international art.
