The scope of this study is made up of the curiosity to view ?bird?s eye view? visual images and the development of this curiosity within modern art.First section includes following points: the development of perspective throughout art history, differentiation and deformation of the look at perspective in the course of time, and the inclusion of ?bird?s eye view? perspective with breaking of habits.Second section puts focus on the contributions of modern technologies to taking bird?s eye view photographs and those of modern art to the development of these images in an aesthetic style as well.The aerial landscapes from bird?s-eye-view have attracted the attention of artists, and this new point of view has been perceived as a genuinely new and noteworthy paradigm in the twentieth century art. There?s no up or down concept in pictures depicted from bird?s eye-view; on the other hand, there?s an illusion of ?in? and ?out? with the central square window effect. The depth cannot be assessed, though. It cannot be restricted, either. It is an abstract space. The appearance of the elements within the picture as if they were shifting and moving in space misleads perpections and this is what what the artist actually tries to achieve.In the third section, the development of the bird?s eye view picture throughout history and its pioneers were mentioned. The application works in a formal and an intellectual context were examined, and the concepts of eternity and freedom were questioned.
