Bioharmological investigation of engineering properties of urbantransformation buildings constructed in risky areas: Elazığ city center sample

This thesis study examines the engineering properties of buildings constructed after urban transformation in risky areas according to the principles of bioharmology science. Urban transformation strategy documents, soil and geotechnical reports, user satisfaction levels, and general engineering properties of the neighborhoods examined within the scope of the thesis were reviewed according to bioharmological suitability assessment criteria. The findings of the study are explained under five main headings. These are; the evaluation form prepared for evaluating the urban transformation strategy document was applied in the neighborhoods. The soil report data were analyzed with the DeepSoil program using the nonlinear time history method and the dynamic behavior of the soils under the effect of earthquakes was examined. A survey was prepared and applied in the field to determine the satisfaction level of the building users. The chi-square test and exploratory factor analysis were used in the analysis of the survey data. According to the developed hypotheses, the hypothesis that the user satisfaction level is dependent on the Hoc, Hoy, Hohhs, Hoed, Homcd, and Hoeoms variables and independent of the Homd variable was accepted. A special scale was developed and applied to the buildings to determine the general engineering properties of the buildings. In determining the bioharmological properties of the buildings, BCA scores were calculated using an evaluation form consisting of 600 questions and Abdullahpaşa received 379.72, Sürsürü 377.85, Mustafapaşa 313.93 and Rüstempaşa 336.16 points. As a result, it was understood that four neighborhoods were moderately successful according to the urban transformation strategy document evaluation form scores, the parcel-based ground reports of four neighborhoods were in accordance with the standards, regulations, and relevant literature, the buildings were medium-level buildings according to the general engineering feature scores, the concrete strength classes of the load-bearing elements of the examined buildings were in the concrete class C30-35 group as a result of the experimental study conducted with the SonReb method, and the Abdullahpaşa and Sürsürü buildings should be improved and are close to the standards, Mustafapaşa and Rüstempaşa buildings should be improved and are far from the standards according to the BCA certificate scores of the examined buildings.
