Özet (EN)
Daha sonra doldurulacaThe humble life of Iustinianus, who was born in a Balkan village when Iustin accidentally became emperor in the political atmosphere of Constantinople after the death of Anastasius, led to him being described as the most assertive emperor of Late Antiquity. Iustinianus's aim was to reconquer the lands that had left Roman control and establish a strong empire by re-establishing the authority of the imperium he inherited from his ancestors. Although he ascended to the throne unopposed, he was not recognized as a legitimate authority in the eyes of all the privileged aristocrats in Constantinople and the provinces. He implemented comprehensive reform and propaganda activities in order to impose his rule on these influential aristocrats. Iustinianus's imperial mission was based on establishing the Christian Roman Empire in Constantinople by reconciling Rome's pagan power with Christianity. This theory brings all imperial ambitions to light; it consists of the union of Empire, Church and Law. Symbolizing the unity of divine and earthly authority, Roman Law is an extension of the will of the emperor determined to restore the empire to all its glory. It is a blow to both the aristocrats and the authorities of the Barbarian Kingdoms, which parceled out the western wing, by keeping military power and law power equal. Hence Iustinianus was able to revive all imperial ambitions in Constantinople. ktır.
