Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is being researched if organizational commitment of school principals are in line with the purposes of educational institutions and it is examined if demographical characteristics of school principals who undergoes rotation has an effect on their organizational commitment. For this purpose, 192 school principals had been randomly selected in order to determine among school principals working at primary schools of Fatih district of Istanbul and questions on the survey form have been asked to them. Within the context of research, the participation levels to suggestions about organizational commitment of school principals have been examined and it is researched if demographic characteristics of school principals creates differentiation in their attitudes towards their organizational commitment. The analysis of collected data have been made with SPSS 18.0 statistics software.This study has also examined the organizational commitments of school principals who had undergone rotation and who hadn't undergone rotation. When this situation is examined; it's seen that there isn't any meaningful difference between their organizational commitment attitudes statistically according to their situation of undergoing rotation and most of the school principals within the sample group seems to be satisfied with their institution.Keywords: School principal, organizational commitment, job rotation, primary school.
