Abstract (EN)

Ukraine maintained its relations with the West in the early years of its independence, but did not want to move away from Russia. As a result of the policies implemented between the years 1991-1993, Russia moved from the Slavic brotherhood to the Western axi Located in the middle of the Eurasian continent geostrategically, Ukraine has been attracting the attention of the West since 1993 due to its geopolitical importance. Until 1993, Western countries did not attach much importance to relations with Ukraine, but they tried to strengthen relations with Russia. But since 1993, Ukraine has been caught between Russia's new strategy and the West's favorite country. Considered a buffer zone between Russia and the West, Ukraine has become an important hub for both powers in terms of energy and transition. The psychology created by war is an aggressive action carried out in order to solve the problems that occur between people or state It is obvious that the war has led humanity to a socioeconomic, cultural and mental destruction. However, there is also an economic destruction of the war. This destruction is burdened with the blocs of war in the growing and developing world, as well as those who are not involved in the war. In this study, the situation in the world economy and financial markets, which started with Russia's attack on Ukraine, is discussed. The negative effects of the war on the world economy and financial markets have been tried to be revealed with some data. With the start of the war, it is clear that the economy and markets of the European countries, which first established economic links with Russia and Ukraine, and purchased large amounts of energy from these countries, were adversely affected. It is thought that the war between Russia and Ukraine will have negative effects on the world economy and money market, but will not have a major impact on its own and will spread to the world. The continuation of NATO's expansionist policies towards Russia and the armament of Ukraine in these policies led to Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 28, 2022. Due to this occupation, Turkey's foreign trade, which has a maritime border between the two countries, has entered into an economic crisis and has become inaccessible to imported product This forced Turkey to look for other options, but the first three months of the war saw a decline in export earning In this study, the effect of the Ukraine-Russia war on the global economy has been tried to be examined.
