Edition criticism of Sa'dullâh el-Berde'î's annotation titled Şerhu Tasrîfi'z-Zencânî

In this study, after providing concise information about Zencânî, Teftâzânî ve Sa'dullâh el-Berde'î, the edition critique of Berde'î's work titled Hâşiyetu Şerhi Tasrîfi'z-Zencânî, which he wrote in the field of sarf science, have been conducted. In the aforementioned study, not all the phrases of Teftâzânî, but the necessary parts are explained due to the fact that it is an annotation. In Sa'dullah el-Berde'î's annotation, it has been determined that a very understandable and fluent language is used instead of a closed style, considering the addressee group. He handled Teftâzânî's expressions with a scientific style and examined the criticisms that could be directed against him with logical rules. It is also remarkable that he did not take a submissive attitude on the controversial issues in the annotation and showed his preference in an objective way. Sa'dullah al-Barda'î kept his annotation away from unnecessary discussions in order not to confuse the reader. The subjects and phrases left incomplete in Teftâzânî's commentary were masterfully completed by Sa'dullâh al-Berde'î and presented to the researchers' use. The annotation, which has a wide range of sources, also comes to the fore with the examples presented on the subject broadening the reader's horizons. The aforementioned annotation also shed light on the studies written on Teftazani's commentary later on.
