Abstract (EN)
X-Ray is being used in every aspect of life since its invention, both image quality improvement and the dose reduction have become the most recent targets in medical applications. During imaging process, photons that emitted by the source pass through the patient and reach the digital detector. On the other hand, especially for imaging the thick body tissues, the anti-scatter lead grid plate must be placed in front of the detector to prevent scattered photons from degrading the image quality. This research is performed in Akdeniz University Science Faculty Physics Department and it is aimed to evaluate the required dose by using a linear array detectors that is capable of image acquisition without the need for lead grid plate.
