Özet (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between work engagement, innovative work behaviour and meaning-making leadership in healthcare workers and to reveal the differences according to sociodemographic characteristics. The population of the study consists of 800 healthcare workers working in four public hospitals in Ankara. Sociodemographic questions, 'Work Engagement Scale', 'Innovative Work Behaviour Scale' and 'Meaning-Making Leadership Scale' were used as data collection tools. As a result of correlation analysis, a statistically significant positive and high level relationship was found between work engagement, innovative work behaviour and meaning-making leadership. As a result of regression analysis, it was discovered that meaning-making leadership explained 70.5% of the total variance on innovative work behaviour. In today's global competitive conditions, it is necessary to increase the level of engagement of healthcare professionals and their perception of meaning-making leadership and thus increase the potential of personnel exhibiting innovative work behaviour. In this direction, it is thought that it would be useful to provide training and seminars to leaders. In addition, it is suggested that active participation should be ensured by holding meetings where employees can express their expectations and observations.
