Abstract (EN)

The research was conducted to examine the relationships relate the emotional intelligence and five-factor personality features of healthcare professionals and their job performance. In addition, it was researched whether the variables made a difference according to demographic characteristics. Relational scanning model was used in the research. The universe of the study consists of health workers in every part of Turkey, and the sample consists of 310 health workers who accepted the principle of voluntariness. Sociodemographic form, Revised Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale, Five Factor Personality Scale and Job Performance Scale were used to collect data In the study. Spearman correlation analysis, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H Tests were used to the analysis of the data. SPSS 25.0 package program was used for analyze the data. As a result of the research, significant relationships were detected relate the five factor personality features scale and Schutte emotional intelligence and job performance scale scores of healthcare professionals. However, it was determined that there was a significant relationship relate the Schutte emotional intelligence scale's optimism/mood regulation sub-dimension scores and the job performance scale scores, but there is not notable relationship could be found relate the emotional intelligence scale's use of emotions and evaluation of emotions sub-dimension scores and job performance scale scores.
