Abstract (EN)
The study has has been conducted in descriptive and cross-sectional form in order to determine the ideas of the health care workers on time management and whether they use the time efficiently. Target population of the study consists of 1194 health care workers who are working in six hospitals which depend on the Publc Hospitals Union of Kırklareli Province and the samples were chosen randomly among the 303 health care workers who took part in the study voluntarily. As a result of the study, it has been determined that health care workers who participted in the study were mostly women between the ages of 26 and 35 and that the participants have graduated from a high school or from an equivalent school and 72.8% of them are married. It has been found that 38% of the health care workers are administrative officers- data preparation staff and public servants with 6-10 years professional experience and that their years of seniority in the institution range between 1 and 5 years. It has also been found that 83.2% of the health care workers haven't received training in time management. 51.5% of the health care workers have stated that they are not successful at time management. As a result of the factor analysis, it has been found that programmed working dimension is high, dimension of not being able to work efficiently is low, dimension of not being able to work actively is moderate, dimension of the working environment effect is moderate and the dimension of planned working is moderate. At the ebd of the study, it is seen again that male personnel are more interrupted by visitors, correspondence and by incoming phone calls, and tit has been observed that the managers and the contracted personel can't use the time efficiently because of incoming phone calls, meetings and things like that. In conclusion, time management of the personnel varies according to their socio-demographic characteristics. In accordance with the findings of the study, organizing training sessions for the employees on time management, raising awareness on using time management and conducting more detailed studies can be suggested.
