Healthcare workers' perception of lean management, employee performance and job satisfaction

Healthcare is a complex and ever-changing industry. The healthcare sector has been under pressure in recent years due to shrinking budgets and increasing demand, which has necessitated the adoption of lean thinking by healthcare services in order to "achieve more with less". The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between lean management, task performance and job satisfaction. Quantitative research methods were used in the study. The research was carried out in two branches of a private hospital and involved 236 healthcare workers. Three surveys were used: lean management scale, task performance scale and job satisfaction scale. The lean management scale was adapted to the Turkish language. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS and AMOS packages. Validity and reliability analyses of the scales were carried out. The research used multiple regression analysis to measure the effect of age, gender, educational status, job satisfaction and lean management on task performance. As a result of the analysis, it was found that educational status, job satisfaction and lean management perception had a statistically significant effect on task performance (p <0,05).
