Abstract (EN)

Background and Aim: The main purpose of this thesis is to examine the relationship between green organisational behaviours of healthcare professionals and green organisational climate. Another aim of the study is to evaluate the difference between the perceptions of green organisational climate and green organisational behaviour levels of healthcare professionals working in a private hospital that does not have a green hospital certificate and the perceptions of organisational climate and green organisational behaviour levels of healthcare professionals working in a private hospital that has a green hospital certificate. Material and Methods: This research is a descriptive and cross-sectional study. 'Green Organisation Climate Scale' and "Green Organisational Behaviour Scale" scales were used in the study. In the last part of the questionnaire form, two open-ended questions were included in order to evaluate the opinions of healthcare professionals about their individual responsibilities towards the environment and the responsibilities of their organisations. The study was conducted in a private hospital without a green hospital certificate and in a private hospital with a green hospital certificate between 10.07.2023 and 25.07.2023. The sample of the study consists of 297 healthcare professionals. IBM SPSS Statistic 25.0 statistical software was used for statistical analyses of the study, and MAXQUDA 2020 software was used for the analysis of structured open-ended questions. Results: A moderate, positive and significant relationship was found between the level of green organisational climate perception and green organisational behaviour levels of the healthcare professionals participating in the study. It was determined that health care employees working in green hospitals had higher levels of green organisational climate perception and green organisational behaviour than non-green hospital employees. Conclusion: Health managers are thought to be a fundamental driving force in shaping the environmentally friendly healthcare systems of the future. In this context, health managers with competence in environmental sustainability and environmental management, in-house environmental trainings, leadership support and dissemination of sustainable management practices will contribute to strengthening the awareness of environmental responsibility.
