Health services and quality

This study is about health services and quality. Health and wellness are the constituents of a happy society. The good health of the community is shaped by the perspective of that society on health services. The budget, time, education, labor and effort for the development of health care services express the importance that society gives to health care. Providing an effective health care is possible only when the quality is internalized by health institutions and applied accurately. The literature survey was used in this research which has theoretical character. In the first part, health, health services and their properties are discussed. In this section, definitions of health, disease, hospital, services and quality are made. The definition and characteristics of health services are discussed, health services are classified and explained with examples. In the second part of the study, the quality of health services is elaborated. The characteristic of the quality health services and the requirements for improving the quality are discussed. In this section, quality management, management systems, inspection and inspection tools have been analyzed. In the third part of the study, the application of quality in health services and patient satisfaction issues are discussed. The quality of health care services is explained by considering how they are implemented. Patient satisfaction in health services is defined. The importance given to the satisfaction of the patients is discussed and the returns in terms of quality are explained. The methods used in the measurement of patient satisfaction are explained with examples and analyzed accordingly. The most signifıcant finding we had in this study is the necessity of giving priority to quality in order to gain patient satisfaction in terms of health services.
