Health sector's expenditure role of development of Turkey

Özet (EN)

The health care expenditures in Turkey was evaluated in terms of development, and the relationship between health expenditure and economic growth was also inquired in this thesis. In the first chapter the concept of health was primarly defined and than health expenditure was economically scrutinized in terms of definition of human capital. In the second chapter, the health system and its components in Turkey was defined. The health expenditure in Turkey was inquired in terms of functional and administrative by emphasising the latest improvement of funding and service encounter. In the third chapter, health expenditure and its relationship with development was mentioned within international, national and territorial framework, and economic and health indicators was evaluated in terms of human development, and the conditions of OECD countries and Turkey was compared. At the end of the third chapter, by making a general assesment it was made a determination and suggestion about combination of health expenditure and helath expenditure levels, and health expenditure's impoverishing effect on household was inquired. As a result, within research findings framework the question of how influence health expenditure to economic growth and overall health statues was evaluated, and made a determination and suggestion about that topic.
