Abstract (EN)
The term word-of-mouth marketing is a recent term in the demand of health services. From the first days of the history it can be observed that people almost never have had the opportunity to prefer a physician or an institute due to the lack of medical establishments, health service specialists and problems in receiving the service etc. In the recent years strong competition in health services has brought the health consumer to a significant position in the field of health. The patient, who used to be told what to do, is now the decision making health customer. Thus, word of mouth marketing is more important today than ever. The main subject of this study is to observe the effects of health consumers' purchasing decisions while aiming to spot the effects of word of mouth marketing to consumer decisions and the level of effect of word of mouth marketing as well as the variables that this terms depends on. As the conclusion of this study, as well as sharing their recommendations, information, thoughts and experiences while receiving health service and making decisions, health consumers also shape their purchasing decisions according to the people they interact with.
