The role and importance of health tourism travel agencies in the development of health tourism

Objective: Health tourism, which has an active functionality in the tourism sector in the twelve months of the year, is potentially an important type of tourism in increasing the national income in Turkey as well as all over the world. Therefore, the role and importance of health tourism travel agencies operating in our country is of great importance at this point and constitutes the aim of the thesis. Materials and Methods: In the globalizing world, the duties and responsibilities of health tourism travel agencies, activities, what can be done to improve their fields of activity, problems and solution proposals in order to carry Turkey to higher ranks in the field of health tourism constitute the side objectives of the thesis. Results: The research was handled with a survey method, frequency analysis and data were obtained by interview method. As a result of the literature review, it has been seen that health tourism travel agencies and health tourism create great potential for our country in every aspect. Conclusion: In line with this scope, the role and importance of the current health tourism travel agencies of the study were revealed and some suggestions were made.
