?Rock Set? in stage design with an emphasis on visual effect

Rock has gained visual quality on stage through musical shows and such other merging agents as rock currents, improving technologies and various artistic trends and fields. Bands and singers have tended to make use of visual quality on stage in order to impress the audience and to fulfill their artistic and commercial expectations. Increasing demand for visuality has brought about a new field for stage designing.This study aims to seek for relations of artistic trends to technologies and technics implemented, trying to present a perspective and theoretical reference for new pursuits in rock set.Introduction focuses on the underlying concepts and practices of the debut of rock set and gives the general outline of the historical processes. First chapter tries to give insightful description of rock trends, styles of rock set and practices of leading rock bands that proceed together most of the time. Technology and technics used in rock set from the beginning are presented in the second chapter. Third chapter is on designers with set design working on rock bands and their artistic orientations.Third chapter finally discusses the significance of visual quality in rock set, types of visual effects and relationship of these components the musical styles, seeking for the interaction of music and visual aspects on the stage. It also tries to explore the possible ways that would shape the future of stage design with a focus on rock set.
