Abstract (EN)

Throughout history, mankind has been affected by the events taking place in its surroundings and has also caused its destruction by affecting its environment with its activities. As a result of the negative changes and developments caused by the modernism movements that emerged in globalization and its continuation, studies on environmental protection and sustainability have emerged. As a result of these facts, the philosophy of "slow" has been revealed in different areas of life. The Cittaslow Movement, a product of this understanding, has recently attracted attention. This current, which has gained popularity both in national and international fields, has been identified as the subject of research. The criteria of the calm city movement on the scale of the Eğirdir district center and its periphery, which is selected as a research area in terms of research opportunities and its present wealth, are examined in landscape architecture as a discipline of the profession. Then, a survey was conducted with the participation of 390 people in the field to measure the level of consciousness of the people of the region, their relationship to the subject, their attitudes and perceptions, their preferences. As a result of the survey data and current analyses, sustainable development recommendations have been submitted within the framework of Landscape Architecture to assist the cities wishing to become a candidate for a quiet city Membership.
