Prof. Dr. Hakan GÜNEYLThis study covers determining of engineering properties and usability of sandstones ofAdana-Salbaş region that is present near surface.First of all, it was searched about geology of the region, properties of sandstones andtheir use. Then it has taken samples of sandstone from the Salbaş and whether economicimportances of these exist is studied doing physical, chemical, mechanical and petrographicanalyses. Relations on test results is evaluated with statistical analyses.Key words: Sandstone, physical, chemical, mechanical and petrographic properties, buildingmaterials.
