The reflectıon of the concept of protectıon of works of art ın chıldren's paıntıngs

In this research, it is aimed to investigate the perceptions of secondary school students about the protection of works of art through pictures and written expressions. This research, which aims to reveal the perceptions of secondary school students about the protection of works of art through their pictures and semi-structured questionnaires, was conducted with the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods. The research was conducted with a total of 160 (85 girls and 75 boys) 11-14 years old students studying in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades in a province located in the eastern Anatolia region. In the selection of the students to be included in the study group, the criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used. The data of the research were collected by the answers given by the students to the pictures with the theme of "protecting the work of art" and the questionnaire form about the protection of the work of art and art. The data of the research were analyzed with the "qualitative analysis" method. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that the most described protection type by the students was "space protection", the least "individual protection" and "aircraft protection". When the expression-based perceptions of female and male students are compared, we can say that female students' perceptions of what a work of art is point to approaches that can be considered more accurate with today's evaluations. In addition, 7 themes of protection of works of art (protection code and category) were formed in the paintings of the students. It was observed that the students focused on the spatial conservation theme. In addition, when the answers given by the students to the prepared questionnaire are examined, four themes emerge. These; When the answers given to the questions are examined, it is seen that the definitions of works of art, "reflections of the phenomenon of preservation of works of art", "places of works of art" and "the fact that works of art should / should not be bought, sold / not sold" are respectively. As a result, it is seen that the themes emerged in the drawing and the "codes", "categories" and "themes" that emerged as a result of the survey show parallelism.
