Abstract (EN)
New Genre Public art was founded by a group of activist artists, who could not be silent to the socio politic situation the world was in as it approached the 90s, as a result of their search for solutions to the discriminations and injustices they were witnessing. They have adopted the feminist and Marxists groups, established after the 70s, as their earlier role-models, due to the central importance given to the audience concepts. Lippard and Allan Kaprow. Additionally, in this study samples of this "community based" art is presented.
