Abstract (EN)

Neuropathic pain is a chronic neurological disorder that affects people's quality of life. We did this study on 45 patients with neuropathic pain and 45 healthy control subjects.Neuropathic pain group and the healthy control group of patients, the symptoms of neuropathic pain, questioning, have made detailed sensory examination.Neuropathic pain scales LANSS, DN4, VAS have been applied to neuropathic pain patient group.ENMG routine review of all groups, the dorsal sural nerve transmission, sympathetic skin responses, cutaneous silent period, the lower and upper extremities, F latency, such as RIII reflex study ENMG studies have been performed. These groups of 45 patients with symptoms, 25 patients with mainly large fiber neuropathy and 20 patients with small fiber neuropathy have been determined. Neuropathic pain clinical approach, neuropathic pain scales (VAS, DN4, and LANSS) and electro-neuro physiological methods were compared with each other. We determined that `Clinical and electrophysiological fiber involvement in patients with predominantly thick; routine nerve conduction studies, the dorsal sural nerve conduction studies, lower extremity RIII latency, median nerve and fibular nerve F-wave latency are effective.?Data collected from this study have been evaluated with the literature. In this study, when considered not to have such kind of studies frequently in literature, it provides valuable contribution in this field.Key words: neuropathic pain, cutaneous silent period, RIII reflex
