Search for extra dimensions with mono-jet final states in CMS proton collisions at 7 TeV

A search for final state with missing transverse energy plus single-jet is performedusing pp collision data at 7 TeV, collected by the CMS detector at LHC, correspondingto an integrated luminosity of 36±1 pb?1 This final state is interpreted asa signature of both large extra dimensions in the framework of the ADD model, andreal Unparticle production. The number of observed events is in good agreementwith the prediction of the Standard Model backgrounds. A 95% C.L. limit on thenumber of extra dimensions and energy scale of the two models is set, leading tosignificant improvement to the current limits of both models.
