Abstract (EN)
Cataclysmic variables are binary star systems which have a white dwarf and a normal star companion. The entire binary system usually has the size of the Sun system with an orbital period in the range 1-10 hrs. Cataclysmic variables radiate in the radio through gamma-ray bandpasses, hence are studied extensively with ground-based and space-based telescopes. In this work, general properties of Cataclysmic variables are reviewed and optical observations of two variables, Nova Cygni 2006 (V2362 Cyg) and RS Ophiuchi, are presented. Optical data were obtained from UZAYMER (Çukurova University), using the Bessel filters and CCD camera at the 12''(30cm) Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. We compare our optical data with the existing data in literature.
