Şehâdet-Nâme-i̇ Veysî(Review-criticizing text)

Literary work that is also known for Şehâdet-nâme-i Veysî or Düstûrü'l- -'Amel/Fezâil-i Kelime-i Tevhîd was written by writer Veysî Üveys B. Mehmed-i Alaşehrî of XVII century. The subject of the work is about the debate between the five pillars of Islam and conditions. As a result of debate in the work, the superiority of Kelime-i Şehâdet has been presented. While the writer was compiling his work, he partly mentioned verses, hadith, parable, also stories and poems which are relavent to subject. Poetries in the work are generally Persian but quoted of hadith and verses are Arabic. Also some parables that were found in the Quran are attributed. As seperating our study five section; poet's life, personality and literary works,content, language and style features,Persian poems in the book, copy the description of the work, course of consisting of criticizing text has been put forward in the work.Then criticizing text of work was given and text dictionary was formed. While preparing criticizing text,copies of domestic and foreign were revised, besides one copy of press (Bayerische Staatsbibliothek München, A.or. 7481Z) three written copies were selected for forming criticizing text (Foundations General Directorate, 67 Pure 273/2; Faculty of Humanities Library, No. 297.7, the National Library, 06 Mil Yz A 698/1). With this work which is done, an ornate prose master Veysî's work written with debate style and has not much known so far, has been introduced.
