Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to produce NiTi and Ti-Nb-Al shape memory alloys and investigate their behavior. NiTi and Ti-Nb-Al alloys with different elemental compositions were prepared from high purity materials using a vacuum arc melting furnace under a protective environment. Several heat treatment procedures were applied to some of the alloy samples.Microstructural and compositional properties of the alloys were characterized by optical microscope and energy dispersive X-ray analyzer (EDX) attached to a scanning electron microscope(SEM). In addition, phase structures of the alloys were studied by using a X-ray diffractometer (XRD).
