Abstract (EN)
Blockchain technology is based on the distributed approval mechanism with many users inside the system. This technology is stated instead of centralized systems with single security authority. Ordinary data transfer actions require central crypto for security applications. Blockchain technology offers distributed structure with a crypto log book. This log book has a significant role in the transfer of valuable items over web applications. Blockchain applications have wide usage in financial systems, logistics, energy, governmental applications, food industry, agricultural industry, and health industry and supply chains. Supply chains can be defined as lifecycles of products or services including procedures from raw material to end product. All operations including data flow, financial payments, physical distributions and trade activities can be stated inside supply chain. Various parties are completing supply chain. Documentation, approvals and financial procedures have to be completed inside supply chain steps, then the overall trade can be finished. Blockchain technologies are suitable for these necessary procedures such as documentation transfer, approval of transfers, payments and tracking of logistics. In this study, criteria set for blockchain is defined in order to analyze whether blockchain technologies can be applied to supply chains or not. Since blockchain is a complex technology and has cost of application, essential analyzes have to be accomplished before implementation decision.
