The factors that shape the structure of Turkish state and administration in Seljuk period

The Seljuk dynasty, a member of the Kınık tribe of the Oghuz State, founded a large state in Khorasan with the victory of Dandanakan in 1040 and laid the foundations of its own administrative structure. The state which was founded by the Seljuks then expanded and governed many states under its control and managed a region that is still complex even today. The deep-rooted state structure and management mentality of the Seljuks became a model for the later Turkish-Islamic states, and it was also one of the most important foundations of today's Turkish public administration. The main reason that leads us to this study is to examine the state that was established by the Seljuk dynasty in the context of public administration and to try to explain the origin of the state structure and management of the Seljuk state, which is an important traditional state to understand today's Turkish administration. In this respect, the Seljuk state structure and management mentality are worth examining especially in the public administration. However, in order to understand the organizational form and the management mentality of a state, it is necessary to have knowledge of how this structure and understanding is shaped within the framework of the administrative factors. When the state structure and management of the Seljuk State is examined, it is seen that Nizamülmülk, which has an effective role in shaping the Iranian-Islamic state tradition and administrative structure due to the establishment of the Central Asian state tradition and the Iranian geography in which it was born, carries the traces of the understanding of the state management. For this reason, it has been tried to explain how and what it affects the Seljuk state structure and management perception of these traces that were mentioned in this study.
