Abstract (EN)

On this study we have compared the organic and synthetic-inorganic fertilization of soilless grown tomato in greenhouse conditions. The study results showed that; the tomato plants which have been fertigated by organic fertilizers showed lower values of plant growth, yield and fruit size properties in comparison to synthetic- inorganic fertigated plants. Total soluble solids and titrable acidity of tomato juice were not significantly different in organic and synthetic-inorganic fertigated plants. However, juice vitamin C content was significantly lower in organic fertigated plants than that of synthetic inorganic fertigated. Plant leaf analysis for N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu and Na showed that organic and synhteic-inorganic fertigated plants adequately feeded. However, Na content of the organic fertigated plants?s leaves was found higher. In addition perlite analysis at the end of the growing season showed that Na, CI and SO4 contents of the organically fertigated substrates were found higher for soilless substrates. As a result, tomato growing in soilless systems by using organically originated fertilisers could be possible. The important point is the ingredients and contents of the organic fertilizers should be seriously taken into consideration. Because excess amount of some toxic ions such as Na, CI and SO4 could negatively affect the plant growth, yield and fruit quality properties of tomato.
