Abstract (EN)

In the graduate practice report titled as "Investigation of Art and Politics Relation in Ceramic Art"; the interactions between art and politics have been briefly mentioned and explored and explained with examples throughout the history of humanity. In this study, it will be examined how politicians use art as a means of propaganda and social classes in the society make the art as a means of protest instrument. At the same time, in the globalized and liberate world, it will be illustrated in which aspects artists have used art as a social, political discourse. In the exhibition works that are done it takes places the female figurine which started from the sculpture of the Cybele just as the symbol of the statue of the liberty or justice in America, the female figures in the footsteps of adventure of experienced through transformation and allegorical figure and there are symbols of gas masks which is one of the most important trademarks of today's protest. The applications consist of ceramic sculptures. The woman who is the symbol of freedom is with gas mask and massive textures are depicted as pure and naked as masses and individual; and it is aimed that creating a memory for unfortunate presence of the current injustice and hegemony of the world via protest character of art.
