Abstract (EN)

After the first years of ceramic production, it has been among the efforts of human beings to decorate it, make it look beautiful sometimes to add aesthetic values suitable for its use. This effort has continued to exist by gaining innovation as time progressed, civilizations, opportunities technology developed. In the process, decoration methods have always added value to ceramics as both an object of need and an art field. Table ceramics, which is one of the product types for which the most aesthetic concern is pursued, in the art of ceramics, 19th century. Mass production possibilities that started with the industrialization process were used, so new methods were started to be developed in decoration.The mechanical decoration methods used within these possibilities were renewed and diversified depending on the period of production. Ceramic; ıt gains a more aesthetic expression with its chemistry, functionality, form and decorations attached to them. Industrial techniques were interpreted and used by artists.In this study, first of all, a literature review was made and the historical process was investigated by collecting documents from qualitative research methods. Then, by collecting data through participant observation, which is one of the qualitative research methods in the sector (in the company that produces tableware), current mechanical decor methods are listed, contemporary artist examples are researched with the method of narrative analysis, and the use of the subject as a means of artistic expression is discussed.In the last part, the subject has been discussed and evaluated through the application process.
