Özet (EN)
Logical, mathematical and electronical models of an ultrasonic transceiver based speed sensor that can measure speeds of vehicles in traffic are designed. Sensor's mathematical model is simulated with computer software. As a result of mathematical analysis; a constant speed vehicle, which can have different speeds between 25Km/H and 125Km/H, can be sensed by sensor model with a maximum error of %~1.4. As a result of computer simulaton; sensor model can measure speed of a vehicle with constant 80Km/H speed with an error of %0.44. Mathematical analysis and computer simulations which examines the effect of sensor parameters onto error rate are executed. Probable additional systems are introduced to accomplish compatibility of the sensor with a large scale traffic control system. Different type of speed sensors are compared.
