Özet (EN)

There have been encountered problems about slope stability during construction period especially which are constructed in sloping land. Because of that, it is tried to achieve the desired safety factors in the design stages with the help of different ways. In terms of avoid the stabilityproblem once again in the process and remove the problems both in the analysis and design stages, it is important to assess the slope stability problems correctly, circumstances that led to the failure and the parameters of the ground, properly. In this study, primarily, the slope stability concept. As a case study, the movements of Kahramanmaras Çağlayan Transformer Station's cutting slope was investigated by means of finite element method and limit equilibrium analysis in different soil profile. In analysis, groundwater and earthquake affects on the safety factor of slope were determined. Later, the safety factors of improvement projects which were designed with the same programs were compared in terms of security and economy, finally the most convenient project was recommended.
